New Student Orientation Part 1: Advising and Scheduling
• Students required and families invited to attend
• Fall schedules are generated
• General Penn State Berks Information shared

August (weekend before the fall semester begins)

New Student Orientation Part 2: Introduction to College
• Student introduction to college life
• Students meet advisers, college representatives, FYS instructors and campus staff

August

Classes begin for Fall Semester
First week of semester - Drop/Add Period
• Schedules can be changed without penalty
• Schedule changes are to be done in consultation with an adviser

September

Third-fourth week of each semester
• Progress Reports are completed by instructors through Starfish
• Opportunity for student to discuss course progress with instructors
College Advising Meetings
• Students attend College Advising Meeting-an opportunity to meet with college representatives and advisers and find out what is new and what to do in regards to scheduling for the Spring semester

October

Ninth-Tenth week of each semester
• Progress Reports are completed by instructors through Starfish
• Opportunity for student to discuss course progress with instructors
• Decide if course should be late dropped

October – November

Meet with your adviser
• Determine your interests, abilities and values and how they relate to career and major choices
Schedule courses for Spring Semester
• Date determined by student's credit count

November

Late drop deadline
• Date determined per semester- check University Calendar
• Last chance to late drop a course
• Late Dropping a course to be done in consultation with an adviser
Thanksgiving Break
• Check Calendar for dates

December

Withdrawal deadline
• Last day of classes- Date determined per semester
Final exams
• Separate schedule is created for finals week
Grades available on LionPATH

January
