High School Discovery Summer Camps

The High School Discovery Summer Camps will be offered during the week of July 9-13, 2018. Camp offerings and online registration for the 2018 camps will open in mid-February 2018.

Students entering 9th through 12th grade in Fall 2018 are invited to register for our High School Discovery Camp programs. Camps are non-credit and designed to be an introduction to STEM principals. No prerequisites are required to register for Discovery Summer Camps.

All high school camps are offered to students on a commuter or residential basis, unless designated otherwise. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis, and a waitlist will generate after camps are full. CAMPS FILL QUICKLY! A cancellation policy is applicable.

Computer and Cyber Security Camp Badge

This camp is for students who like working with computers and will expose students to computer security/information assurance careers.

Engineering Camp Badge

Participants will explore basic engineering concepts, develop, design, and construct air-powered cars, paper/rubber-band powered airplanes, and model rockets  They will utilize software, including RocSim, to analyze performance of rocket-powered vehicles.

Forensic Science Camp Badge

Students will take part in a week long science camp involving the role science plays in crime solving investigations. A true hands on experience for those thinking about a career in law enforcement or criminology research.

Pre-Med Camp Badge

Thinking about a career in medicine? This experience introduces campers who are interested in pursuing careers in the medical field by combining classroom theory with hands-on lab exercises, demonstrations and field trips.  This camp will be offered two different weeks in July, 2017!

Veterinary Science Camp Badge

This camp is for those who want to make animal science a career choice.  Hands-on lab time plus field trips to a dairy farm, a veterinarian's office and a veterinarian emergency hospital make for an unbeatable experience.
