Dr. Daonian Liu is the director of the Center for Learning and Teaching and an associate teaching professor of information sciences and technology at Penn State Berks. Her primary areas of interest are faculty development, distance learning, and instructional technology. For the last 19 years, Dr. Liu has been primarily dedicated to assisting faculty and students in their integration of technology into learning and teaching in American higher education.

Dr. Liu has a passion for investigating and promoting best practices in assuring the quality of online courses and programs. She believes that robust faculty development programs and sufficient technological support play a vital role in motivating faculty to embrace innovative approaches to learning and teaching and to provide the access, accessibility, and flexibility that today's students need. Dr. Liu currently teaches management information systems courses for Penn State Berks.
