Students, faculty, and staff at Penn State Berks are showing just how happy they are through a new online video set to Pharrell Williams? ?Happy? soundtrack. The video project was a joint effort between Dr. Michele Ramsey, Associate Professor of Communication Arts and Sciences and Women's Studies, Berks alumnus Connor Hough, and Penn State Berks senior Tom Smith, both Communication Arts and Sciences majors.
Ramsey notes, "The video was a labor of love for our two Communication Arts and Sciences majors and our faculty, staff, and students. It's great to see all the love that Penn State Berks students have for their college expressed in the video and I'm very proud of former student Connor Hough for his excellent editing work for the video."
According to a news release, Pharrell Williams announced a partnership with the United Nations Foundation to celebrate the annual global International Day of Happiness, Thursday, March 20. In addition to a 24-hour event on YouTube, Pharrell invited people everywhere to take action and help raise money for humanitarian efforts around the globe. Drawing inspiration from the "Happy" videos fans worldwide have already posted, starting Monday, March 10, Pharrell encourages all his fans to post YouTube videos of themselves demonstrating their happiness to his global #1 smash hit "Happy."

If you share it on Twitter, please make sure that you tweet it TO Pharrell and by adding @pharrell (as opposed to using hash tags) so that he is more likely to see the tweets. The more shares / tweets we have aimed at Pharrell, the better our chances of him sharing the video with his followers.
