READING, Pa. — The Penn State Berks Freyberger Gallery will present an exhibition of paintings by Ann Elizabeth Schlegel from Sept. 8 to Oct. 18. There will be an opening reception from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 8. This event is free and open to the public, and light refreshments will be served.
Schlegel is the recipient of the Arts Ovation Award for outstanding achievement in the visual arts with special recognition by the Pennsylvania State Senate and the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. She also received the Gold Addy Award for her poster created for Musikfest’s 20th anniversary.
During her time residing in Villa Fontaine, France, Schlegel received the distinction of “Invitée d'Honneur” and “Artiste d'Honneur” of Antibes, France, and was awarded “Artiste en Residence” five times.
