Irish Blessing to perform on St. Patrick’s Day

Irish Blessing, an Irish heritage musical ensemble, brings a musical extravaganza to campus at 12:30 p.m. Friday, March 17, in the Perkins Student Center Auditorium, just in time for St. Patrick’s Day. This event is free and open to the public.

With driving instrumentals, soaring vocals, and hard-hitting percussive step dance, the group delivers an unapologetically traditional experience, carrying on the purest forms of traditional Irish music. Composed of four family members, Jonathon Srour is a four-time tour member of Michael Flatley’s "Lord of the Dance"; Josh Srour has established himself as one of the country’s most promising young fiddle players; Cushla Srour provides strong rhythmic accompaniment on the piano and lilting phrases on the whistle and flute; and Jim Srour rounds out the group on the drums.
