High School Discovery Summer Camps

The Discovery Summer Camps for high school students is tentatively scheduled for the week of July 8-12, 2019.  Residential campers would report July 7, 2019.  Camp offering details will be updated in January, 2019 and camps will be open for student registration in early February 2019.  Students entering grades 9, 10, 11 and 12 in the fall of 2019 are encouraged to attend.

Computer and Cyber Security Camp Badge

This camp is for students who like working with computers and will expose students to computer security/information assurance careers.

Engineering Camp Badge

Participants will explore basic engineering concepts, develop, design, and construct air-powered cars, paper/rubber-band powered airplanes, and model rockets  They will utilize software, including RocSim, to analyze performance of rocket-powered vehicles.

Forensic Science Camp Badge

Students will take part in a week long science camp involving the role science plays in crime solving investigations. A true hands on experience for those thinking about a career in law enforcement or criminology research.

Veterinary Science Camp Badge

This camp is for those who want to make animal science a career choice.  Hands-on lab time plus field trips to a dairy farm, a veterinarian's office and a veterinarian emergency hospital make for an unbeatable experience.
