When you make the decision to study at Penn State Berks, you'll become part of our small campus community. A variety of individuals will help you become acclimated to life as a college student in the United States.

We'll help with the transition.
As an International Student, you'll meet Joe Webb, our International Liaison. Mr. Webb will help you navigate all of the details that must be taken care of to become a successful Penn State student. You'll also be assigned to an international mentor. Your mentor will work closely with you to help make you feel at home in your new college community.
International Orientation
You'll be invited to participate in International Orientation. During this program you'll move in to your residence hall (if you're staying on campus). You'll meet with your academic adviser, and your mentor will help you complete all of your documentation. You'll get to meet the Chancellor of Penn State Berks, and you'll meet other students who, like you, are studying abroad. You'll find out about all of the offices and services available to you on the campus, you'll get your PSU identification card, and you'll meet some of our faculty. We'll even take you out for dinner and a shopping trip at a nearby store.
Activities
As the semester progresses, you'll have the opportunity to participate in a number of activiteis planned specifically for our international students. In the past, there have been trips to New York City or Washington, D.C., Halloween parties and Thanksgiving dinners. Unity Day provides an opportunity for the entire campus to celebrate the differences in cultures and ideas among the members of our community.
