MBA Information Sessions slated for April 12

Penn State Berks will hold two information sessions for the MBA program on April 12. The first will be held from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 3 of the Janssen Conference Center, while the second session will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. in Room 248 of the Gaige Technology and Business Innovation Building.

Students volunteer at Country Meadows, Opportunity Hous

Penn State Berks students, in collaboration with Olivet Boys and Girls Club, will host a Sock Hop Prom for the residents of Country Meadows from 1 to 3:30 p.m. on April 9. The event will include various stations for the residents to enjoy, including dancing, karaoke, root beer floats, and origami corsage/boutonniere making.

Writer and engineer Nick Arvin will discuss how professionals working in technical positions, such as engineers, can enhance their communication skills in a special presentation at 12:15 p.m. April 14 in the Perkins Student Center Multipurpose Room at Penn State Berks. The event is free and open to the public and light refreshments will be served.

Penn State Berks hosts National Biomechanics Day

The Penn State Berks Human Movement and Research Center is hosting the campus' first National Biomechanics Day from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 6. Approximately 140 high school students and chaperones are registered for the program. Light refreshments will be provided.

College to host ASME Student Competition

Penn State Berks will host the American Society of Engineers (ASME) Anthracite–Lehigh Valley Section Student Competition from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 30, in the Gaige Technology and Business Innovation Building. This event is open to ASME members, and a light meal will be served.

Christine Sleeter, professor emerita at California State University, Monterey Bay, will present a lecture titled "Curriculum and Pedagogy for New Majorities" at 12:15 p.m. March 29 in the Perkins Student Center Auditorium. This event is free and open to the public.
