Melissa Woodard serves as the superintendent of the Wyomissing Area School District, bringing 29 years of experience in public education to her leadership role. She has served in a variety of instructional and administrative positions throughout Berks County, including classroom teacher, elementary principal, chief academic officer, and assistant superintendent.

Dr. Woodard is committed to fostering academic excellence, building strong school-community relationships, and ensuring that every student feels safe, supported, and inspired to succeed. Her leadership is grounded in the belief that great schools are built through collaboration, high expectations, and a deep respect for the work of educators.

Beyond her role in Wyomissing, Dr. Woodard is actively involved in the broader educational and local community. She has served as a Trustee of the Oley Valley Community Education Foundation since 2016, is a Board Member of Teachers in the Parks (TIPS), and is a newly inducted member of the Wyomissing West Reading Rotary Club.

Dr. Woodard lives in the Oley Valley with her husband, Brian, and their two children, Mia and Jack. She values family, community, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through public education.
