Student Learning

Students outside of the Franco building

Student learning is a process by which students acquire or enhance skills, knowledge, attitudes, and values needed to become effective and responsible professionals as well as citizens dedicated to lifelong personal and intellectual development. The skills valued by the College include research, critical thinking, information literacy, communication, teamwork and group process, and creativity. Knowledge is acquired through a cumulative and integrated curriculum and through curricular or co-curricular experiences that engage students actively in learning. Cultural awareness and civic engagement are cultivated and reinforced by experiences both inside and outside of the classroom and modeled by faculty and staff members. The College culture promotes the values of academic integrity, ethical decision-making, personal responsibility, and respect for the environment.
