WYOMISSING, Pa. — Prospective and admitted students will get a sampling of what classes are like at the college during the "Academic Experience at Penn State Berks" event on Monday, Feb. 16, from 9:30 a.m. to noon. This event begins in the Franco Building, room 101. Attendees are asked to register in advance.

This event will give participants a unique opportunity to explore the subjects they are passionate about, connect directly with college faculty, and get an insider’s view of the academic experience at the college. It is designed for students who have received an offer of admission, as well as those still exploring their options who want a deeper understanding of academic life at Penn State Berks.

During this immersive "Academic Experience" event, students will step directly into the classroom and learn from the very faculty who teach Penn State Berks courses. Each attendee will have the opportunity to select two different faculty-led class sessions, each representing a different academic area. Class offerings span a wide range of academic disciplines, including (but not limited to): engineering, business, science, kinesiology, psychology, writing, and digital media and communications.

The event will conclude with an optional campus tour led by Lion Ambassadors, student tour guides. Tours are approximately 60 to 90 minutes long and will take attendees through the college’s academic buildings, student center, campus bookstore and on-campus residence halls, where a sample room is available.

All students who attend the event will have their $65 Penn State application fee waived, if they contact Berks Admissions at [email protected], unless it has already been paid.
