MBA Information Session to be held at Berks Campus on September 17

Penn State Berks holds Latino Forum for high school students

As part of Hispanic Heritage Month, Penn State Berks is hosting fifty juniors and seniors from local area high schools to participate in the first annual "Latino Forum: A Celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month" on Monday, September 16, 2013, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Blood drive to take place at Penn State Berks

The Miller-Keystone Bloodmobile will make a stop at Penn State Berks on Monday, September 16, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Beaver Community Center parking lot. Students participating in THON, the 46-hour dance marathon to benefit the Four Diamonds Fund supporting families battling pediatric cancer, will be assisting in the blood drive, and WRFY-FM (Y-102) will provide a live remote from 1- 3 p.m. to help promote Penn State Berks events benefitting THON in the local community.

Sixth Annual Family and Homecoming Weekend at Penn State Berks

Families of Penn State Berks students will experience life on campus, while alumni will reconnect when the college hosts its annual Family and Homecoming Weekend on Friday, September 27-Sunday, September 29, 2013. The theme of this year's event is "Ohana Means Family." The program will include activities for the entire family, with educational, social, and athletic events that showcase the campus. Events are open to all attendees with the exception of the Alumni Reunion and luau, which requires preregistration.

Prospective Students Invited to Visit Program

Prospective students and their families are invited to a Visit Program at Penn State Berks on Saturday, September 28, 2013, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Perkins Student Center, located just off Broadcasting Road in Reading. The program offers information to local high school juniors and seniors considering admission to Penn State Berks in the fall of 2014. Sessions will present information on Penn State admissions, financial aid, academics, athletics,and student activities and services, as well as discussions with faculty, staff, and current students.

Career Services Provides Transportation to University Park Career Fairs

The Penn State Berks Office of Career Services will provide transportation to two Career Services events at University Park campus in September: the IST Pro Expo Career Fair on Monday, September 16, 2013, and the University Park Fall Career Fair on September 17 and 19. Transportation will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

Alumni Society sponsors haunted tour of Gettysburg with Charlie Adams

The Penn State Berks Alumni Society will sponsor a bus trip to tour Gettysburg with paranormal researcher and writer Charles J. Adams III on Saturday, October 5, 2013. The bus will depart from Penn State Berks at 8 a.m. and return to the campus at 6:30 p.m. The tour includes a visit to a renowned haunted house, ghostly sites in the battlefield, and other haunted areas. Participants will also have free time to explore the town, eat lunch, and shop. The cost for this event is $60 per person.
