This course prepares nontechnical individuals in the basics of rapid prototyping by utilizing common computer aided design (CAD) techniques as well as prototype manufacturing techniques. The curriculum will provide participants with the tools and understanding necessary to materialize ideas into physical products via additive manufacturing which is commonly referred to as "3D printing".

This four course certificate program includes Blueprint Reading, Cost Estimating, Project Management and Law.

This course is a continuation of the SolidWorks course included in our 2D/3D CAD Certificate. Students will continue to learn the fundamentals of SolidWorks and move to more complex design challenges.
