Dr. Leonard Gamberg is a Professor of Physics. Prior to joining Penn State Berks, he was a Lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania and has held research positions at the Institute for Theoretical Physics at The University of Tuebingen in Germany, and The University of Oklahoma. Dr. Gamberg's research is in the field of sub-atomic nuclear particle physics. Among other topics, he explores the transverse spin and momentum quark sub-structure of the proton and neutron. His work has been published in Physical Review Letters, Physical Review D, and Physics Letters B. He is a member of the Brookhaven National Laboratory and Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Users Groups. His research is funded by a grant from the United States Department of Energy's (DOE) Office of Science, Nuclear Theory. Dr. Gamberg is the Chair of Penn State Berks Science Division Colloquium Committee and he is active in promoting undergraduate research.
