Penn State has named the John E. Morgan Foundation its inaugural Foundation Partner of the Year. The award recognizes the Morgan Foundation’s long history of philanthropy toward a wide range of programs across the University.
With a continuously increasing student population and the need to support various programs, the Penn State Board of Trustees approved Atkin Olshin Schade Architects of Philadelphia, as the architect for the Beaver Community Center at Penn State Berks on Sept. 14.

Penn State University Police and Public Safety has promoted five individuals to the rank of deputy chief, effective Jan. 2, 2018. The deputy chiefs will be assigned as district commanders under a new centralized structure that will unify and streamline police operations at all Penn State Commonwealth Campuses.
Penn State Berks Chancellor R. Keith Hillkirk and his wife, Suzanne, have recently created a new endowment, the Hillkirk Family Program Endowment for Ethics and Sustainability. The name reflects the passion that the Hillkirks have for these two priorities, which are emphasized in the college’s strategic plan.
