Come visit Penn State Berks to discover why we are the perfect place to be a Penn Stater!

Anyone who visits Penn State Berks and has not yet paid the $65 application fee, will have the fee waived for them.

Regardless of where you are in the admissions process, you can always take a daily tour of Berks Monday through Friday with our Lion Ambassadors.  Schedule your tour today!

Spend A Summer Evening

This program is great for any student thinking about applying to Penn State Berks, but is specifically for high school students who are going to be Seniors in September. Students and their families are invited to join us on a July evening where they have the opportunity to talk with and hear presentations from Berks faculty, staff, current students, and alumni. Topics include an extensive admissions/application instructions, academic research and internship opportunities, student life, and more. A campus tour with our Lion Ambassadors follows the formal presentation.

Spend a Summer Morning

This program is our largest summertime admissions event! Spend a beautiful Saturday morning with us in August meeting with faculty from all Penn State's different academic areas, staff (in areas like admissions, financial aid, student life, and athletics), current students, and Penn State Berks proud alumni. Students and their families will select the various break-out sessions that they want to attend that cover a wide range of topics and full campus tours with our Lion Ambassadors will be offered all morning long. This is a fun and exciting event- you will leave fully understanding why Berks is the best place to be a Penn Stater and why you will want to become a part of the Berks family too.

Take a Summertime Tour of Berks!

Join us for a beautiful evening in August where our student Lion Ambassadors will take you on a tour of our campus, and admissions staff will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about being a Penn Stater at Berks.

Alumni Tours

After a brief welcome and "how to apply" information session with an admissions counselor (who just happens to be a very Proud Penn State Berks alumni) future Penn Staters and their families will go out on a campus wide tour with our current student tour guides, The Lion Ambassadors, and a proud Berks alumni.  They will share their personal stories, successes, and why they love Berks while helping our student guests discover what their Berks experiences may be.  After the tour ends all guests are invited to stay and have lunch while having fun at our famous Penn State Berks Homecoming Weekend.

Penn State Day

WE ARE... PENN STATE! Spend a beautiful Fall morning with us at Penn State Berks. The morning kicks off with an Admissions & Financial Aid presentation and immediately afterwards you will have the opportunity to attend an academic break-out session, of your choosing, where you will hear from faculty and current students in the academic area that you are interested in studying at Penn State Berks. After the academic session you will take a tour of our beautiful campus and residence halls with our student Lion Ambassadors. Let them tell you why you will love it here just as much as they do. While here, make sure you take a picture at our Lion Shrine and photo booth.

Application Workshop & Campus Tour

We are happy to offer two Application Workshops and Campus Tour days at Penn State Berks. One in October and the second in November. This event is exactly as the name describes! Students who have not yet started or completed a Penn State application will receive hands-on assistance from our Admissions Team as we walk you through the application process: create a My Penn State Account (if you don't have one already), complete and submit the admissions application, receive instructions regarding the submission of standardized test scores and transcripts, and answer any questions that students have. After your application is all done students and their families will have he opportunity to take a student guided tour with our Lion Ambassadors.

All students who attend one of these programs or take a tour of Penn State Berks, and have not yet paid the $65 PSU application fee, will have the fee waived for them.

Penn State Berks is proud to offer merit-based scholarships to incoming First Year & Transfer students for Fall 2017.   There is no application- once students are offered admission to Berks they will automatically be reviewed for merit scholarships and notified by letter if they are awarded one.

Saturday Campus Tour

 This morning is a wonderful opportunity for students who have never toured Penn State Berks, or who have but want to visit us again, to bring their families with them for a tour with our Lion Ambassadors.  Students can choose a "full campus tour" that will showcase all of our facilities and residence halls or they can opt for a shorter tour that exclusively covers the residence halls.  Whether you plan on living on-campus, or commuting from the local Berks area, there is a tour perfect for you.


"Penn State Berks: The Classroom Experience"

Wondering what it will be like taking a college course at Penn State Berks?  Join us for a sample class designed for potential Berks students like yourself and taught by our outstanding faculty members.  Subjects include Science, Psychology, Engineering, Business , and Education.  You choose the class you want to attend when you sign up for the program.  Optional tours of the campus will
be offered after your class has ended.

Be Our Guest!

Dinner is on us- join us for a delicious meal in our cafeteria with current student Lion Ambassadors and other students & their families who have been offered admission to Berks. Get a hands on taste of what it's like to be a Berks student! Dinner is free to the student offered admission and up to 3 additional family members (no more than 4 per party)- students must register ahead of time and will receive a ticket to be presented for dinner.


Creamery Ice Cream on the First Day of Spring!

While others may be waiting in long lines to get free water ice, join us at Berks for some world famous Penn State Creamery ice Cream. Berks is proud to be one of the only PSU campuses that serves Creamery Ice Cream everyday and we want to share it with our future students and their families. Ice Cream is free to the student offered admission and up to 3 additional family members (no more than 4 per party)- students must register ahead of time and will receive a ticket to be presented for Ice Cream.


This is our largest event for students who have been accepted to Berks.  This exciting day is perfect for students who have already accepted their offer of admission or who are still deciding if they are going to become a Penn Stater.  Berks Lion Ambassadors will enthusiastically welcome students and their families to our campus for a program that will answer all your questions and prepare you for all the next steps to transition from high school to college.  Presentations will cover topics such as Financial Aid, Next Steps, Academics, Housing and Food Services, and more.  Students and family members will separately attend panels:  students will meet with current Berks students and peers while their family gets to ask all their questions to a panel of experts from various offices from across the campus.  The formal part of the day concludes with break-out sessions with faculty based on academic majors.  After the academic sessions end, students and their families can take an optional full campus tour with the Lion Ambassadors.  Students and their families are encouraged to celebrate their Penn State Pride and enthusiasm by taking a  picture at our Lion Shrine and photo booth.


"Next Steps"

This is the last program accepted students can attend before the May 1st National Acceptance deadline. The theme of this day is "Past, Present, and Future"- we will celebrate Berks' 60th anniversary as a Penn State campus, all the exciting things happening here today, and the amazing future we have ahead of us. Faculty will be here to talk about majors & academics while staff will provide everything regarding the next steps to becoming a student here, financial aid, living on campus, and so much more. After the formal program students and their families can take an optional full campus tour with the Lion Ambassadors. The tours will end at our Cyber Cafe where we will be providing free world famous Ye Olde College Diner Grilled Stickies!
