Biography
Dipti Bhatt is a lecturer of business analytics and management at Penn State Berks. She teaches marketing and business analytics courses at Berks campus as well for Penn State World Campus. Prior to joining Penn State, she has managed research and reporting activities at a non-profit organization, Better Buying Institute (recently acquired by Cascale, previously Sustainable Apparel Coalition), that helped fashion retailers and other CPG companies improve their purchasing practices with a goal to achieve a sustainable supply chain. Bhatt also has several years of experience in managing a global supply chain for a textile buying house in India.
Research Interests
Dipti Bhatt's research focuses on consumer behavior, management systems, and sustainability. Her master's thesis “Consumers' perceptions towards subscription retail: a focus on online fashion box services” focused on studying consumers’ motivations toward subscribing to fashion subscription services using a qualitative research methodology. She has also published a journal article on consumer attitude toward upcycled clothing and has co-authored a case study on sustainable business practices within the apparel industry.
