Please complete this form with any justification required for your fund request. The deadlines to submit an application to request program endowment funds are September 15 and January 15. All questions related to the approvals of those requests should be directed toward those contacts listed on the endowment funds webpage.

Important information

  • Franco Undergraduate Research Endowment funding is NOT available through this application. The Franco Endowment funding application is available through Academic Affairs. Please refer to the specific Franco Endowment application, requirements, and timelines as described on the main endowment page.
  • Funds awarded are only available during the fiscal year the funds are requested. If expenses fall above the approved amount you will be responsible for covering those expenses from another resource.
  • You must get prior approval to purchase gift cards from the Finance Office before requesting endowment funds.
  • When requesting endowment funds for any type of employee compensation, please calculate the fringe to be included in the total needed.
  • Travel for faculty development is capped at $500 per person per fiscal year from the Bowman Curriculum and Perkins endowments.

Please upload an itemized budget, requested further down this form, outlining the total amount of funding requested with a corresponding list of intended expenditures. Make sure to include the total secured from other supplemental funding sources, as well as the endowment portion of funding being requested. Note: If you are requesting funds to pay a salary, the fringe must be included in the amount requested.

Please note that approvals for endowment funding may take longer than usual as our leadership team is undertaking a strategic review of overall use, evaluation of requests and disbursement of program endowments. We are basing the review of endowments on the following goals we would like to achieve concerning their use:

  • Support the initiatives of the campus
  • Clarify process for endowments and make them more accessible
  • Make disbursement more equitable
  • Increase collaboration throughout campus

Please note, we are not changing the requirements related to each endowment and what they fund, as those are set by the donor.
