Penn State Berks Startup Week features entrepreneurial workshops; networking events; a student pitch competition on WPSU’s “The Investment”; and presentations from startup founders and corporate innovators, including many Penn State alumni.
Berks’ newly expanded Berks LaunchBox hosted several troops of Girl Scout Cadettes for a Robotics Workshop in December. Girl Scout Troops 134, 1221 and 1628 participated in the event at the Berks LaunchBox.
Penn State Berks will be expanding its entrepreneurship programming with a new innovation hub located within the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts in Reading, Pennsylvania.
Penn State Berks offers a variety of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) related Middle School Discovery Camps in a fun and relaxed environment. The camps are for students entering fifth through eighth grades in fall 2018. Camps run from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Berks Office of Continuing Education will hold an adult learner information session beginning at 6 p.m. on Monday, June 18, 2018, in room 101 of the Franco Building, Penn State Berks.
On Dec. 15, 2017, Kathy Cavanaugh, a communication arts and sciences major, will walk across the stage to receive her diploma in front of her three children, as well as her co-workers and friends at Penn State Berks.
