Penn State Berks sign Engineering Pathway Agreements

Penn State Berks, along with its valued partners, Reading Area Community College, Berks County Career and Technology Center and Reading Muhlenberg Career Technology Center have signed articulation agreements that result in a 2+2+2 engineering pathway.

After changing paths which led to four different colleges, Elizabeth “Lizzy” Beller found her home at Penn State Berks. She earned a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering during the college’s commencement ceremonies on May 8.

Penn State Berks will celebrate National Biomechanics Day on April 7. This year the event will be virtual in the form of a LionSide Chat webinar designed to introduce prospective students and their families to fields that comprise biomechanics, including engineering, kinesiology and health science.

Penn State Berks snowboarder emerges victorious

Although the recent 2021 FIS Snowboard World Championship in Rogla, Slovenia, took place during a global pandemic, Penn State Berks junior Kaiya Kizuka emerged victorious -- finishing second among American women and emerging as the fastest American female on the red course in the Giant Slalom event. She also took third place among American female snowboarders in the Parallel Slalom.

Reading High students to learn about engineering

Penn State Berks students in the college’s FiERCE program (Futures in Engineering: Role-models Can Empower) will host Reading High School 10th graders for an interactive engineering workshop from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31.
