Student Care and Advocacy is dedicated to helping students navigate unexpected challenges with a holistic approach. We focus on understanding each student's unique situation and encourage self-advocacy by developing a partnership to identify what actions students can take and how the Student Care and Advocacy office can provide support by connecting students to university and/or community resources.
Care Report
A Care Report is used to request support for a student who is experiencing unexpected challenges that could negatively impact their ability to be a successful student. You should submit a Care Report if you or someone you know is experiencing distress due to an unforeseen event, academic, financial, physical, or mental health needs. Care Reports are received and managed by the Case Manager for Student Care and Advocacy.

Basic Needs Support
If you need help accessing food, stable housing, books/academic materials, or other basic needs, you can complete and submit a Basic Needs Assistance Request Form. Once you submit this form, you will meet with the Case Manager for Student Care and Advocacy to identify the available campus and community resources to meet your needs and how the university can support you.
