J. Dean Stephans Memorial Award for Student Leadership
Purpose
This award shall be to honor and recognize an undergraduate student who is enrolled at the Penn State Berks Campus for outstanding leadership in student government and /or other campus clubs, organizations, or para-professional roles in either campus office or a department and who have worked to recruit fellow undergraduate students to join campus activities or take on a para-professional role.
Eligibility
Consideration for this award shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students with a 5th semester standing or above, having completed at least 4 continuous semesters at the Penn State Berks Campus maintaining a grade point average of at least 2.75 (on a 4.0 scale), who demonstrate outstanding leadership in student government and/or other campus clubs, organizations, or para-professional roles in either campus office or a department and who have worked to recruit fellow undergraduate students to join campus activities or take on a para-professional role.
Amount of the Award
The number of scholarships awarded and the amount of each shall be determined by the selection committee.
