The Spanish Minor at Penn State Berks
There are many opportunities for Penn State Berks students interested in Spanish. Berks is one of the few Penn State campuses that offers a minor in Spanish, and the only campus that offers a Certificate in Spanish for Healthcare. Berks has a wide range of community engagement opportunities involving Latino organizations that allow you to speak Spanish and experience a rich varieties of cultures firsthand.
Courses in the minor may be started after completing Spanish 3 (or equivalent by transfer or exam). A grade of C or better is required in all courses to complete the minor. Courses that do not require knowledge of Spanish (and that are not held in Spanish, such as SPAN 130, 131, 230, 231) may not be counted toward the minor. The Spanish minor may be started and completed at Penn State Berks and/or any other Penn State campus that offers the required courses.
