Amanda M. Ketchum, B.A. Global Studies, 2007

I chose Penn State Berks because it was close to my  home and offered smaller class sizes. The Global Studies degree program provided many study abroad and international travel opportunities. The professors were great and were always willing to help with academic and administrative issues. I'm working as a Senior Immigration Paralegal at Klasko, Rulon, Stock & Seltzer, LLP. I'm also currently an M.A. candidate in Political Science at Temple University, expecting to graduate in 2014.

Jesse Garwood, B.A. Global Studies

Dear Dr. Lynn,

I would like to take a moment to thank you again for your tutelage during my time at Penn State Berks. Being on Campus and speaking with the Global Studies Faculty really reaffirmed the positive influence the program had on me and how it shaped my outlook, not only on life, but also the inner workings of the world around me. My time at Penn State Berks is something I will always treasure and I will dearly miss the excitement and challenge your classroom offered me.

Seeing you the other evening during our Global Studies program celebration was a pleasure and I look forward to corresponding with you in the future. Anything I can do to help the program now or in the future would undoubtedly never be enough to repay the debt of gratitude I feel your time invested in me.

Sincerely,
Jesse Garwood, Global Studies Class of 2011

Zachary Karazsia, B.A. Global Studies

Dear Dr. Lynn,

I received your invitation to attend the Global Studies' 10th Anniversary celebration. Unfortunately, I presently reside in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and will not be able to make it to the celebration on May 2nd because of my work here. Please give my best to the faculty, staff, and students in the program!

On a separate note, I will be a doctoral candidate in Political Science at Florida International University in Miami come this fall. I am very excited to continue my studies relating to my time as an undergraduate student at Penn State Berks. I still reflect on my experiences at Penn State Berks and your English class.

The Global Studies Program will always have a special place in my heart. If there is anything I can do that will aide the program or its students please let me know!

Warm regards,
Zack
