The GO-60 Program at Penn State Berks waives tuition for up to six credits of enrollment for individuals who are at least 60 years old. In addition to the age requirement, to qualify for the GO-60 program, individuals must be retired or working less than half-time and must be a Pennsylvania resident or, if not a resident, a former Penn State student or past employee. GO-60 students must also meet any course prerequisites. The program does not apply to courses, noncredit workshops, conferences, and other activities offered by Penn State Continuing Education.
Enrollment in courses is on a 'space available' basis. GO-60 students must schedule courses in person at the Registrar’s Office in the Franco Building one week prior to the beginning of the semester.
GO-60 students may also audit a credit course, which means the student follows the regular registration procedure, but does not receive a grade for the course. GO-60 students who wish to audit a course must notify the Registrar's Office at the time of registration.
