The Exploring Health Care Careers day camp is a joint program with East Central and Northeast PA Area Health Education Center and Penn State Berks Continuing Education.
This one-day camp will introduce middle school aged children to health care careers including mental health, nursing, oral health, occupational and physical therapy, and emergency responders. Each topic is scheduled for one hour and will feature speakers (live or remote) and coordinating physical activities to keep things hopping, such as participating in music therapy, learning how cavities form, learning how to take blood pressures and well as participating in physical therapy exercises . Students wont have the opportunity to get bored in this fun filled day. Each student will receive a blood pressure cuff and stethoscope kit.
Lunch and refreshments are included in the registration fee.
