How to Schedule Checklist:

Scheduling courses can be frustrating. However, if you follow the steps below to schedule your courses, you could eliminate a lot of headaches by getting it right the first time. Good luck! 

  1. Attend your Advising Meeting.
    Refer to the Advising Meeting schedule for your Advising Meeting date, time, and location. 
     

  2. Make an appointment with your adviser.
    Find your adviser's name and contact information via the Adviser Information link on LionPATH 
     

  3. Prepare for your appointment with your adviser.

    1. Get the Recommended Academic Plan for the major(s) you are considering.
      Available in the Academic Advising Information Carousel (Franco Lobby across from the Registrar's Office) or on the Berks Campus website.
       

    2. Obtain the degree audit(s) for the major(s) you are considering.
      Available on LionPATH.  
       

    3. Review requirements for the major(s) you are considering.
      Available in the Recommended Academic Plans, the Undergraduate Degree Programs Bulletin (Blue Book), or the university website.
       

    4. Make a list of all the possible courses you wish to take.
      Don't forget to consider entrance-to-major requirements, review courses, prerequisite courses, General Education requirements, and First-Year Seminars (FYS).
       

    5. Make a list of questions to ask your adviser.
       

  4. Be prompt for your advising appointment.

    1. Provide accurate information regarding how you are doing this semester.
       

    2. Listen to your adviser's recommendations and suggestions.
       

  5. Register for your courses.

  6. Get a copy of your schedule.
    You can do this on LionPATH.
     

  7. Adjust your schedule, if necessary.
    Remember to discuss any changes with your adviser.
     

  8. Get a copy of your new schedule, if necessary.
