Berks County communities working to help teenagers and young adults better understand the consequences of drinking and alcohol abuse received nearly $260,000 in grants from the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board.
Sen. Judy Schwank, Rep. Tom Caltagirone, and PLCB Chairman Tim Holden announced the grant recipients today during a press conference at Penn State Berks. Representatives from area colleges and municipal governments joined them.
As part of a collaborative partnership between the Penn State Berks and Stokesay Castle, Chancellor R. Keith Hillkirk and Charles Gulati, President of Stokesay Castle, signed a Hospitality Management internship program affiliation agreement on Thursday, May 28, 2015, at 3:30 p.m. at Stokesay Castle.

Keysha Whitaker, Lecturer in English at Penn State Berks, was one of twelve faculty members University-wide selected to participate in the Penn State 2015 Course Design Academy (CDA).
This summer, approximately 1,000 first-year students who will begin their studies in the fall semester at Penn State Berks will get a preview of what college life will be like through the New Student Orientation Part 1: Advising & Scheduling (NSO1) program, which runs from mid-June to early-July.
Penn State Berks offers a variety of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) related Middle School Youth CamMS ps in a fun and relaxed environment. The camps are for students entering fifth through eighth grades in fall 2015. Camps run from Monday-Friday, from 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
