Biography
Dr. Dimitri Karagiannis' primary research background is in dynamic systems and control. He has conducted several research projects focusing on vibration control of continuous systems. He has published experimental and theoretical work on this topic in several major journals and conferences, though his main focus has been on theoretical advancements using robust and partial differential equation control techniques. He has also conducted other research in areas including process control for metal 3D printing, renewable energy systems and decarbonization, using control to design drug dosing schedules, using machine learning techniques to analyze congressional funding, and experimental analysis of non-linear systems.
Dr. Karagiannis is an assistant professor of mechanical engineering at Penn State Berks, also serving on the college's Academic Affairs Committee.
