Ariel Karetas is responsible for oversight of budgets for the Student Government Association, Campus Activities Board and clubs. She provides administrative support for JA operations, and oversight of office operations such as receptionist roles. She provides direct administrative supportive for the Associate Director, Assistant Director and Student Activities Coordinator. She provides program support for events such as PowerPoint promotions, reserving rooms on campus, processing contracts, contacting entertainers/agents, preparing handouts and preparing travel arrangements.

Ariel assists in Orientation preparation by creating name tags, arranging reservations, and contacting companies to add inserts to student welcome packets. She is the initial contact for typical and problematic contacts related to Judicial Affairs, events, money allocations and parent concerns, requiring independent judgment on problem resolution. She provides administrative support for Off Campus Housing, regular contact with landlords and parents, as well as assisting with the programming for moving to UP.

Ariel assists with the planning and preparation of the Annual Off-campus Housing Day programming. She develops and manages the roommate matching list and rental listings. She also provides administrative support for student organizations, such as providing training for student treasurers and advisors, addressing budgeting concerns, educating students on policies and procedures, and arranging reservations for club events. In addition, she selects, supervises, trains, and evaluates approximately 5 student clerical workers.

Currently enrolled in the Associate in Business Administration program at Penn State University.
