Student Veterans host third annual “ROY G. BIV” Memorial Run

The Penn State Berks Student Veteran Organization will host its third annual ?ROY G. BIV Memorial Run? on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at 2:30 p.m. The event is named for some of the colors used in the run, and the term ?memorial? is used to recognize fallen soldiers. The event is a 5-K (3.1 mile) untimed ?fun run? or 1-mile walk around the campus designed to combine a game of color tag with fitness and fun. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Penn State Berks Student Veteran Organization.

The run will begin at 2:30 p.m. and the starting line will be located behind the Beaver Community Center. Participants are invited to a lunch, including BBQ pulled pork and chicken, immediately following the event at the alumni pavilion.

The event is open to students, faculty, staff, and the community. The cost to participate is $20 and it is free to students with valid Penn State ID. Interested parties can register online.
