College honored by Miller-Keystone Blood Center

Local Leader Campaign Recognizes Blood Donor Recruitment Success

Miller-Keystone Blood Center will recognize Penn State Berks for its commitment to the health and welfare of the community through blood drive sponsorship through its Local Leaders Award. They will present the award on Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at 10 a.m., in the Janssen Office Building, Penn State Berks.

?Our Local Leaders campaign recognizes those schools, businesses, church groups and other organizations who go above and beyond the call of duty to support their community,? said Sean Tinney, Director of Marketing and Business Development. ?By hosting blood drives with our regional blood provider, these organizations are also supporting the MKBC Mission Statement, which is ?Saving lives by partnering with our community to provide a continuous supply of blood products and services?.?

Penn State Berks is one of 15 organizations receiving the award for collecting at least 200 units in 2015. The college holds several blood drives throughout the year.
