Calpulli Mexican Dance Company brings the rich dance traditions of Mexico?s diverse cultural history to Penn State Berks on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at 7:30 p.m. in the Perkins Student Center Auditorium. This event is free and open to the public.
Calpulli?s performance at Penn State Berks will feature visually-stunning costumes and choreography. Their performances have been compared to the traditions of Mexico: colorful, passionate, and inviting. Their fresh, vital repertoire honors Mexico?s past and Mexican-American cultural expression in the United States today. Their mission is to produce dance-based programming incorporating live music to promote the rich diversity of Mexican and Mexican-American cultural heritage.
