Tissue engineer speaks from business and bioethics perspective

Scientist and entrepreneur Dr. Nina Tandon will discuss her innovative work in human tissue engineering on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015, at 7:30 p.m. in the Perkins Student Center Auditorium. This event is free and open to the public.

Tandon co-founded the company, EpiBone, the world?s first company growing living human bones for skeletal reconstruction. As much at the forefront of bioethics and business as she is medicine, Tandon is committed to developing her field without infringing upon privacy and fair treatment. She is a TED Senior Fellow, a Staff Associate Postdoctoral Researcher in the Laboratory for Stem Cells and Tissue Engineering at Columbia University, and an Adjunct Professor of Electrical Engineering at the Cooper Union. In addition, Tandon was named one of the 100 Most Creative People in Business by Fast Company.
