High school students invited to Spend a Summer Morning at Penn State Berks

WYOMISSING, Pa. — Students who will be high school seniors in the fall and their families are invited to attend the Penn State Berks Spend a Summer Morning program on Saturday, Aug. 7, beginning at 10 a.m. with registration and an information fair on the Perkins Plaza, located just outside the Perkins Student Center.

During the information fair, students and their families will have an opportunity to have converse with faculty members about degree programs and career opportunities and to talk with staff members from various campus offices including Athletics, Student Support Services, Housing and Food Services, Residence Life, the Intercultural Office, Learning Center, Student Disability Resources, and Financial Aid.

At 10:30 a.m., the formal program will begin and will feature an admissions and financial aid presentation. Attendees will learn about Penn State’s 275+ degree programs, including the 24 baccalaureate and associate degrees that can be completed entirely at Penn State Berks. In addition, attendees will receive in-depth admissions/application instructions, and learn about academic research and internship opportunities, financial aid, student activities and athletics.

When the presentation ends, students and families will have an opportunity to take a full campus tour with student Lion Ambassadors, and at the end of the tour will be invited to enjoy Penn State's famous Berkey Creamery ice cream.

All students who attend this event will have their $65 Penn State application fee waived.
