Linda MacDuff has accepted the position of director of housing and food services at Penn State Berks. In this role, she will direct operations at Penn State Berks, as well as manage external food-service contracts for Penn State's Lehigh Valley and Schuylkill campuses.

MacDuff, who has been with housing and food services at Penn State Berks for 17 years, has served as manager for Tully’s Food Court and as assistant director of housing and food services, involved in catering, Tully’s Food Court, the Cyber Café, and housing operations.

In February, MacDuff stepped in as interim director and helped facilitate two construction projects -- The Beaver Community Center at Berks, which is now home to the new Creekside Market convenience store, and Lehigh Valley Expansion project, which includes the new food service operation Nittany Station Café.

MacDuff, who earned a bachelor of science in exercise and sports sciences from Penn State in 1993, has had the opportunity to form professional relationships both on campus and with campus partners and looks forward to more collaboration in the future.

“I’m excited for the challenge of this new position,” she says. “I look forward to continuing to provide students with a high-quality living and learning experience in our residence halls, along with expanding our services at Berks with a new convenience store. During the past year and a half, it has been a challenge to provide students with a robust and safe out-of-classroom experience, and I am excited to be able to offer opportunities for students to connect with each other once again.”
