Berks celebrates Veterans Day

Penn State Berks will host a Veterans Day Program on Tuesday, November 11, 2014, at 5 p.m. in the Perkins Student Center Multipurpose Room. This event is free and open to the campus community, and includes dinner. Attendees must respond to Joe Web via e-mail at [email protected] no later than Thursday, November 6.

The program will begin with a welcome by Chancellor Dr. Keith Hillkirk, followed by the Berks Choir performing the National Anthem, The Armed Forces Compilation, and I Wish You Peace. The keynote speaker will be Bruce Kauffman, Army veteran and Penn State Berks alumni. In addition, special recognition will be given to the Student Veterans of America Penn State Berks Officers. Dinner will be served following the program.

Penn State Berks was recently awarded ?military friendly? designation due to its commitment to serving veterans. The college received the designation of 2015 Military Friendly® School from Victory Media, publisher of G.I. Jobs magazine.
