Campus chamber choir concert set for April 26

The Penn State Berks Chamber Choir will perform on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at 4 p.m. in the Perkins Student Center Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public.

A community chorus from the Heritage of Green Hills, a retirement community located to the south of Reading, will perform several songs along with the Chamber Choir. The groups will sing a variety of music including "Hallelujah" from Shrek, "All I Ask of You" from The Phantom of the Opera, and Billy Joel's "Lullabye" and "River of Dreams."

Berks Chamber Choir members benefit by getting involved in the community and extending the college?s presence in the area. The Heritage chorus members benefit by singing musical styles outside their usual genre. Members of both groups benefit by gaining intergenerational experiences and having an opportunity to make music with others.

For more information on the collaboration or the concert, contact either of the Berks choir advisers, Bill Bowers at [email protected] or Jackie Confalone at [email protected].
