Penn State Berks students turned Opportunity House into a five-star restaurant on the evening of Tuesday, March 29. The theme was the Penn State “Lucky Lion” and clients enjoyed a three-course meal and an evening to remember, with a St. Patrick’s Day twist. Students enrolled in college’s four-year Hospitality Management program were joined by other students throughout the college in this annual volunteer event coordinated by the Office of Campus Life.
The day began with students shopping for supplies and decorating Opportunity House’s dining area with centerpieces to create ambiance for the clients. Throughout the event, students served in the roles of cooks, sous chefs, hosts, waiters and food runners.
