Professors and students awarded at Annual Meeting of Waterbird Society

Penn State Berks professors and students were awarded for their research at the 37th Annual Meeting of the Waterbird Society in Wilhelshaven Germany this September. Dr. Jennifer Arnold, Associate Professor of Biology, Dr. Stephen Oswald, Instructor in Biology, and three students, Amy Rutter, Christy Wails, and Brittany Morey, were all recognized for their work.

Junior Wildlife and Fisheries Science major Amy Rutter has been conducting research at Penn State Berks for one year, and has completed an International Conservation Internship. She won the Best Student Poster Award.

Senior Biology majors Wails and Morey have been conducting research at Penn State Berks for three years and have both published their research. They have also completed International Conservation Internships. In addition, Wails is Penn State Berks 2013 recipient of the Penn State Berks Biology Program Young Investigator Award
