Penn State Berks will welcome Ijeoma Ibeku, a Nigerian university lecturer, to campus for two presentations on April 11. Both presentations are free and open to the public.
Ibeku will present on the topic of “Education and Family in Nigeria” at 12:15 p.m. in the Perkins Student Center Auditorium as a part of the Global Studies Forum hosted by the college’s Global Studies degree program. Then at 6 p.m. Ibeku’s presentation will focus on the topic of “Changing Women’s Roles in Nigeria,” and it will be held in the Perkins Student Center Multipurpose Room. This presentation is sponsored by the Office of Diversity and International Programs.
Ibeku earned her doctorate in English from the University of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, and teaches at Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria.
