Penn State Berks starts PRSSA Chapter

Penn State Berks has recently started a chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America, the world?s foremost pre-professional society for students interested in public relations, with more than 10,000 members at 330 colleges and universities in the United States and abroad.

The chapter will help students in the Business, Communication Arts and Sciences, and Professional Writing degree programs to explore the public relations field and enter the profession. The mission of the organization is to serve its members by enhancing their knowledge of public relations and providing access to professional development opportunities, and to serve the public relations profession by helping to develop highly qualified, well-prepared professionals.

The student organization comes at an excellent time as the college has also just added a certificate program in Public Relations to its academic offerings.
