Author Lisa Cron discusses what our brains crave on Nov. 2

Author and story coach Lisa Cron will discuss the necessary elements in creating a worthwhile story in her presentation called, “The Reader's Manifesto: 16 Hardwired Expectations Every Reader has for Every Story” at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, in room 121 of the Gaige Technology and Business Innovation Building, Penn State Berks. This event is free and open to the public.

Having worked as a literary agent for Angela Rinaldi, a script consultant for Warner Brothers, a producer for Showtime and CourtTV, and author of two acclaimed books, Cron has mastered the unparalleled power of storytelling. She has worked with individuals and organizations to help them use their unique story as a call to action – whether that action is turning the pages of a compelling novel, trying a new product, or taking to the streets to change the world for a better tomorrow. Cron is now an instructor in UCLA Extension Writers’ Program and is on the faculty for the New York City-based School of Visual Arts MFA program in visual narrative.
