READING, Pa. -- Penn State Berks will hold its first Pioneers Reunion for graduates who attended what was formerly known as the Wyomissing Center of the Pennsylvania State University from 1960–1972. The reunion will be held on Friday, May 19. The reception will begin at 11:30 a.m. and the luncheon will begin at 12:30 p.m. in the Gaige Technology and Business Innovation Building Atrium. Cost is $25 per person.
“Pioneers” are defined as the students, faculty and staff who attended the Wyomissing Center, located on Hill Avenue in Wyomissing. This was the name and location of the campus before its move to the current Spring Township location.
The reunion will include remarks by Penn State Berks Chancellor R. Keith Hillkirk; David Delozier, director of development and alumni relations, and Heather Angstadt, assistant director of alumni relations. The event will also include a slide show, a display area where alumni can share memorabilia, and tours of the campus.
