READING, Pa. — SafeBerks will present "The Escalation Workshop," at Penn State Berks, 3 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 22, in the Perkins Student Center Multipurpose Room. This event is free and open to the public. This event is free and open to the public.

The film "Escalation" will be presented at the workshop, followed by a discussion. "Escalation," which was produced by the One Love Foundation, follows a college-aged couple through the sweet beginnings of their relationship and shows how unhealthy behaviors can escalate into abuse. After watching the film, workshop participants will dive into a discussion about the film — led by trained facilitators — examining the early warning signs of relationship abuse and what people can do if they witness or experience these behaviors. The conversation is led by a facilitator who has been trained by the One Love Foundation.

This program is a joint initiative of SafeBerks and the Penn State Berks Office of Campus Life. For more information or to register, contact Autumn Fritz, assistant director of community development at Penn State Berks, at 610-396-6076 or [email protected].
