Presented to those students who have demonstrated outstanding scholarship and performance or unusual achievement during the course of their internship, co-op, or research. Tiebreakers: The nominee must have completed the research project or coop or internship for which they are to receive the award. Completion is based on one of the following: a published paper, a conference presentation, a culminating report, or an assigned grade in a capstone course. If it comes down to a tie, then the student must have a cGPA of a 3.0 or higher since this is an academic excellence award; The nomination must be accompanied by a letter of recommendation from the person in charge of the research project; If a tie still exists and a determination is hard to make, the student with the highest cGPA will be chosen. If a tie still exists, the student with the highest class rank will be chosen. If a tie still occurs, the division heads and the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs will decide. | |
