Penn State Berks students will receive recognition at the University Scholastic Awards Ceremony on April 2, 2015, in the Multipurpose Room of the Perkins Student Center. The awards presented included the President's Freshman Award, the President Sparks Award, and the Evan Pugh Scholars Award.
When Penn State Berks Lecturer in English Composition Justin De Senso was deciding on a project for his Writing in the Social Sciences (English 202A) course, he had to look no further than the media headlines. The ongoing series of protests and civil unrest in Ferguson, Missouri and throughout the country sparked the idea to take a fresh approach to the topic of the local community's perception of their police force.

The annual on-campus Career and Internship Fair for currently enrolled students will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2015, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Gaige Technology and Business Innovation Building. More than fifty local companies will attend the fair and meet with students who are interested in employment and internship opportunities. A list of participating employers is available in the Career Services Office, room 10 of the Perkins Student Center.
Penn State Berks has been approved to offer the B.S. in Rehabilitation and Human Services degree. This degree program prepares students for entry-level positions in a variety of human service settings, particularly settings that provide services to persons with physical, emotional, or mental disabilities.
The Beast will bring indie jazz and progressive hip hop to Penn State Berks on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at 7:30 p.m. in the Perkins Student Center Auditorium. This event is free and open to the public.
Matthew Woods, a senior Mechanical Engineering major who began his studies at Penn State Berks and was part of the Penn State Lunar Lion Team, is currently a Propulsion Intern at Space X in Los Angeles. His internship began in January 2015.
In observation of National Engineers Week, Feb. 22-28, 2015, Penn State Berks, the premier engineering college in Berks County, is planning a variety of events and activities. The college recently added a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering to its engineering programs, which includes a B.S. in Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology.
