In December, Penn State Berks hosted its Sustainability Expo, "Connecting Campus and Community," organized and curated by Mahsa Kazempour, associate professor of science education and sustainability council chair. The expo showcased community effort from around Berks County including that of Penn State Berks students, Alvernia University students and organizations around the area.

Modeled after a program first presented in 1990 by the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., "A Choral Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr." will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, in Eisenhower Auditorium on Penn State's University Park campus. The event will bring together vocal ensembles from Penn State and various Pennsylvania high school singing groups.

Events and activities honoring the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. will be held over the next few weeks at several Penn State campuses. The theme for 2025 is "Change Continues With Us."
