Ansari named University Faculty Ombudsperson

Mohamad A. Ansari, associate professor of mathematics at Penn State Berks, will assume the role of University Faculty Ombudsperson on July 1, the University Faculty Senate has announced. Ansari was elected to a four-year term in April 2017 and has served as ombudsperson-elect since July 1, 2017.

This summer, approximately 800 first-year students who will begin their studies in the fall semester at Penn State Berks will get a preview of what college life will be like through the New Student Orientation program, which runs from mid- to late-June, beginning on June 19, 2018.
The college will host a celebration in honor of its 60th “birthday” on Monday, July 9, 2018, at 12:15 p.m. at the Perkins Plaza (rain location–inside the Perkins Student Center).

Penn State Berks offers a variety of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) related Middle School Discovery Camps in a fun and relaxed environment. The camps are for students entering fifth through eighth grades in fall 2018. Camps run from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

5-for-5: One sweet spring to never forget

Penn State Berks athletics pulled off an amazing feat this spring that has never been seen before, by the program itself or by any institution in the North Eastern Athletic Conference. All five of the teams with championships in the spring won the conference title and four of those teams went on to compete in the NCAA Tournament.
